ADA, Mich.?The vice president of Alticor is now part of a committee focused on building West Michigan?s relationship with the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The executive committee of the West Michigan Global Initiative (WMGI) appointed Jim Weaver to its advisory committee Monday.?
Weaver, who lives in Ada, has been involved with WMGI since it was founded in 2012.
??I am excited to continue promoting West Michigan business and investment in this new role,? said Weaver.??The relationships between West Michigan and The Netherlands that the WMGI helps foster are vital to creating new jobs, new opportunities and broader cultural awareness.?
The WMGI is focused on building long-term business, civic and cultural relationships between West Michigan and The Netherlands.? In April, the group helped lead the state?s first formal investment mission to the country, which included Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley. The WMGI plans to host Dutch business, cultural and government leaders for a follow-up event in West Michigan in the fall of 2014.
